Fair Shares is the name used in Gloucestershire for time banking. It is built on the principle of being a good neighbour, someone gets a helping hand and then returns the favour. Everyone has some skills to offer, no money is exchanged, just your time and everyone's time is valued equally. For example you may help someone with their garden then someone helps you with your computer. It's free to join and you decide how much time you can offer. In return our members can offer help with......gardening, home repairs, sewing, computers, languages, playing a musical instrument, therapies and much more.
Groups and organisations can also join, sharing and co-operating with other groups or individuals things like venue space and equipment use or simply helping to promote eachother.
