Our 6 time banks in Gloucestershire have around 1000 individual members and 150 organisations across the county and we are open to everyone.
Many people who take part in our time banks would not normally get involved in volunteering or community activities. Many of our participants are on low incomes or not in formal employment and time banking helps to access services and build their skills.
We have a very diverse range of participants, including older people, many in the rural areas. Older people, people with disabilities and those with long term illnesses benefit from the ‘safety net’ provided by the time bank – help when it is needed and the security of knowing that someone is there.
