A Trip to the Seaside

19th September 2025
Despite the ever-impending threats of rain and storms we had an amazing time in Bournemouth (and for the most part managed to stay dry).

27 of us went down for our regular September holiday, spending Monday to Thursday in the seaside town and we enjoyed every minute of it.

There was crazy golf, steam trains, walks along the pier, splashing about in the waves, terror on the big wheel, and lots of ice-cream. A particular highlight of the week was queuing up for over an hour for some of the best fish and chips we had ever eaten. Everyone was warned that the queuing would be long but worth it in the end. But it became a huge bonding experience for us and we even put a smile on the other diner’s faces as we cheered and clapped each time someone finished their meal and freed up a table!

The best part of the week though was just being able to spend time with a really caring group of people who looked out for each other and made it a great holiday for everyone. We’ve already had demands of going back next year – so if anyone else would like to join us, please let us know.
