A visit from the PCC

1st September 2017
We received a visit from the current Police and Crime Commissioner, Martin Surl.

In recognition of the Police and Crime Commissioners ongoing support for our work, we today received a plaque. Martin Surl, the current PCC, came to Chequers and we were able to show him the work we do and give him the opportunity to have a chat with our participants about Fair Shares.

The Police and Crime Commissioner is responsible for holding the police to account. This involves setting the budget and acting as the voice of the public. However, one of their duties also includes giving funding to local projects to help reduce crime and increase community safety – which is where we come in.
