Apple Pressing at Rococo

1st November 2019

We took bags full of apples and a minibus full of participants over to Rococo Garden in Painswick.

We’d spent some time previously gathering together apples from gardens and our allotment, and were now ready to put them to good use. During October Rococo Garden hold apple pressing sessions, and so we packed our apples up and booked a slot.

It was great fun seeing the process of how apples fresh from a tree become juice, but we found ourselves with gallons of apple juice and a ton of leftover apples. We ended up booking another session a few weeks later and bottling even more. A grand total of over 80 bottles of juice were produced.

Apple Pressing at Rococo

We collected some apples from a number of different places, including participants gardens and our allotment, then we took them down to Rococo to turn them into apple juice. We've still got a ton of apples left so we'll be going again tomorrow. We'll be leaving from Chequers at 10am, so feel free to come and join us!
