Autumn at Westonbirt Arboretum

26th October 2022
We visited Westonbirt to explore the beautiful Autumn colours.

We packed ourselves into two minibuses and made the hour-long drive to the arboretum. When we arrived we split up into multiple groups. One heading off to explore the Old Arboretum first, the other crossing the bridge and exploring Silk Wood.

With over 2,500 species of trees the arboretum covers approxmately 600 acres. This meant that by the time lunch had rolled around, we’d already racked up quite an impressive number of steps. Even after spending a day there, we still had lots left unexplored, which makes it perfect for a return trip in the future.
