Winter Snacking

24th January 2022
Two girls are at a table, one holding a bowl as the other uses two spoons to mix fat and seed together.
We had a lovely time down at our allotment last Saturday.

Despite the chilly weather everyone was enthusiastic as they made their coconut feeders and garlands. The coconuts were really simple to make – drill a hole and pop some twine through it to make a loop and then just add a mix of fat and seeds into the hollow coconut shell. The garlands were made from threaded dried fruit and popcorn.

Hopefully with these tasty treats the birds will have a lot to snack on over the rest of winter!
