Wood for Benches

Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust (GWT), who manage Lower Woods, donated some Ash wood to our workshop.

We visited Lower Woods, one of the largest ancient woodlands in the south-west, to pick up some spare wood GWT had. Jon spent some time looking through the logpile to find one which would work best, and then it was expertly lifted from the pile with a crane. To make it easier to unload on the other end we had the log cut in half – although it was still quite hefty!

Our workshop will be turning these two logs into benches for Parry Park.
