Helping Hand from Young Glos

At our allotment. A young person standing by a wheelbarrow uses a shovel to move soil into a wooden planter.
We had a great team from Young Gloucestershire helping us out as part of the Prince’s Trust program.

They joined us down at our allotment all week helping out with all sorts of different things. From making a new BBQ area, building hedgehog houses and even repairing our very needy grapevine support. They did amazingly well and everyone put in tonnes of time and effort.

Thanks in particular have to go to Connor who suggested Fair Shares as their team project. Conner was part of Fair Shares when he was 14 and now at the age of 20 he wanted to be able to give something back to Fair Shares as a way of saying thanks. This was really touching for us and we’re all proud to see how he’s grown and matured. As a bonus picture, right at the end you can see Connor at 14 and 20!
