Apple Picking at Castle Fruit Farm

21st November 2022
A group photo of everyone lined up in front of apple trees, smiling at the camera.
We recently went for a trip to Castle Fruit Farm near Newent organised by Clare, community support manager from Gloucestershire Gateway Trust.

We received a warm welcome from Chrissy and Michael Bentley with hot drinks and some delicious samples of their various apples juices before going on a tour of the farm.

We learnt about the process of fruit growing and how their make their juices on site and then went to the orchard to collect apples.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their visit and comments heard included “it’s really interesting learning about fruit growing and juicing” and “the apples are delicious”.

Huge thanks to everyone at Castle Fruit Farm and to Clare for organising this.
