Barton & Tredworth Cultural Fayre 2017

This was a great event celebrating all the diverse cultures that live and work together in our area. The fifth annual cultural fayre was the best one yet and we’re incredibly proud to be part of it.

It’s a simple idea. Lets bring together a whole load of people, share some food and have some fun. We had culinary delights from African, Burmese, Caribbean, Chinese, English, Indian, Mauritian, Polish and Rastafarian cuisines. Entertainment was provided by morris dancers, gospel singers, bollywood dancers, ukulele players, salsa dancers and an amazing young acoustic singer found busking on the streets of Cheltenham.

We also had information stalls, bouncy castles, climbing walls, archery, craft stalls, face painting, henna tattooing, pony rides… the list goes on.

If you missed out this year and want to help us organise next years event or if you have some great ideas of how we can make it even better, please let us know. The whole day was organised and managed by a group of volunteers with the assistance of a huge team of helpers on the day who made it all possible. So thanks to everyone who came and helped out. You made this a very special event!
