Watching the Autumn Colours

25th October 2021

Or at least that was the plan.

After being cooped up in the house for so long we thought the best way to celebrate our return to normal would be a trip to Batsford Arboretum to see the autumn colours. Of course nothing is guaranteed when it comes to nature, so quite a few of the trees were still rather green. That was no problem though – the fresh air and good company were enough for us.

Although there was a slight drizzle when we arrived, we decided to enjoy a few hot drinks in the cafe and before long the sun arrived. We took a leisurely stroll around the arboretum, enjoying the changing leaves and various points of interest.

We were all a bit unfit after having not gone on a walk for so long, so lunch was a welcome break. Everyone was happy to be back as a group though, and lots of friendships were made or rekindled. We’re looking forward to our next walk at Stratford on the 3rd!
